CID Internship Program

The Center for Inclusive Democracy (CID) conducts non-partisan research to inform policy and on-the-ground efforts for a more engaged and representative democracy, improving the social and economic quality of life in communities. It is housed at the USC Price School of Public Policy in Sacramento CID research is intended to inform and empower a wide range of policy and organizing efforts, supporting equity and well-being throughout California and the nation.

What are the benefits of the CID Internship Program?

CID interns receive hands-on experience working on projects that have an immediate, tangible impact on the landscape of civic engagement. Interns are often able to participate in research projects from start to finish over the course of a single year and build their skill set in a variety of ways. Additionally, students can receive transcript notation and academic credit, where applicable.

What are an intern’s responsibilities?

While all interns must commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week for one semester, their duties can vary depending on the skill sets they wish to develop. Our interns work on everything from individual research projects to statistical analysis and social media development. It is this versatility that allows us to accept interns from a wide variety of academic backgrounds. This is an unpaid internship.
