California Secretary of State Official Voter's Choice Act Reports

To address California's Voter's Choice Act (VCA) research requirements for the 2020 election cycle, the California Secretary of State commissioned a series of independently-conducted reports from university-based researchers with an expertise in state elections. We present here the six VCA research reports conducted by the Center for Inclusive Democracy (CID) at the University of Southern California. These reports were released by the California Secretary of State's Office on May 13, 2022. All data collection and analysis in these reports were completed by CID prior to July 2021.

We note here that much of the data presented in these official VCA reports was published after July 2021 in independent reports (not associated with the SOS) by the Center for Inclusive Democracy found here
